An American Air Force flight approaching Kangerlussuaq Airport on Greenland after a resupply flight to the science base on the summit of the Greenland Ice sheet. Skis on the plane allow it to land and take off on ice and snow. There is an increasing interest in scientific research on the Greenland ice sheet as it is starting to melt rapidly.
